Changing CSF’s mind on project submission deadline

Together with the initiative VĚDMA and the Research, Development and Innovation Council, the Center for Gender and Science succeeded in changing the position of the Czech Science Foundation regarding the postponement of the deadline for submitting project applications. It was originally set at the beginning of April, which in combination with the closure of schools and kindergartens would mean the elimination of those scientists who, in the current situation, have to look after their loved ones and do not have time to write a grant application. Thanks to the joint efforts of the above-mentioned actors, it has been possible to prevent disadvantaging the caring scientists who would lose the main or only source of their finances as a result of the coronavirus crisis and depriving Czech science of the benefits of their projects.
